The Port Restaurant

Regulars at The Port Restaurant eagerly await Memorial Day. Not only does it mark the official start of the Cape Cod season, it means that The Port is now open seven days a week. In many respects, it’d take effort to imagine a restaurant truer to its locale. The Port sits in a classic white frame building, and inside it’s bound by a dark wood bar and rafters. Nearly three quarters of the entrees involve seafood, not counting the marine-centric appetizer list or the raw bar sourced from the surrounding waters. And it’s certainly possible to build an utterly classic New England meal, starting with new england clam chowder and proceeding through Wellfleet oysters, littleneck clams, and a lobster roll. But if you’re feeling more adventurous, you’ll also find plenty of global touches, from the chipotle peppers spiking the barbecue sauce to the green-tea buckwheat noodles forming a nest for salmon.
