Orange Olive Hair Gallery

Something’s happened to this place. I came in recently for a color change from brunette to lilac. I had booked months in advance and made sure I told the receptionist what I was looking for so she could block out enough time. I also showed a series of photos to the stylist so we were on the same page. She said she could do a balayage with the color I wanted and started lifting my hair, but didn’t give it enough time to lift properly and ended up telling me we’d have to do a deeper purple instead. I said that was fine, figuring it would still be a dramatic change. While she was toning she kept asking another stylist for advice on which products to use, whether to add more color, how much time to leave it on, etc. I figured they were just collaborating. Then she started to blow dry. After so much time in the chair I was super excited to see the purple come out and told her I loved it. But the more it dried the more I realized how faint it was. Everyone in the salon was hyping it up and telling me how soft and natural it looked–and in the salon lighting it did look decent, if subtle. It should also be said that I was just thrilled to have a new look after COVID. I said I was happy and paid.
