Our Story

Verde opened in 2011 in the Pilsen when our owner Crystal Dorado began working out of a loft space where for 18 months she began to expand her clientele enough to warrant a more accommodating space. Verde was open with a vision and hard work alongside her children and husband. As a family they painted, scrub, and worked to bring Crystal’s vision forward. Verde has been a family business since its inception and continues to be so today.

Verde has been operating in Pilsen for nearly a decade having served well over 8,000 clients and administered over 21,000 services. With this expansion of Crystal’s vision, Verde will transform beyond a traditional day spa to a more innovative wellness studio. The new space will accommodate many new services to include acupuncture, chiropractic, pediatric chiropractic, guided meditation workshops and classes, and spiritual healing services such Reiki & Chakra Balancing. Verde’s influence grows deeper as Crystal yearns to honor her Mesoamerican ancestry and her community as she enters this next stage.

Part of this next step is the updating of our logo that was specifically designed to capture owner Crystal’s vision for Verde as it enters its 10th year. The mandala represents the heart chakra, the balance point of our chakras, where we hold our love, compassion, and empathy. In our final step, Verde will also be relocating within the Pilsen neighborhood by early 2020. Our new space will continue to follow our founder Crystal’s vision for Verde as a healing space for the mind, body, & soul.

Verde’s new image and space are inspired by Crystal’s travel to Tulum. She also hopes to bring support to the people and community in the Zona Maya of the Yucatán peninsula that have greatly inspired her.
